I Found Heaven!

I Found My Heaven in a Hobby Lobby.
That's right I surely did.
I wanted to lay on the floor of that beautiful store and make like "snow angels" and sing
Hallelujah.

However Alexa was with me...she stared me down...and told me I better not do whatever it was I was thinking.
She knows me well <wink>
Darn!

Our Hobby Lobby just opened...I've been visiting them across the country for years when I traveled to teach.  Never had much time in any of them but vowed we would get one.
I think I may have emailed them ohhhhh 200 times to tell them we needed one in Northern VA.
Hee hee hee...I AM persistent!
Not that I made the difference or anything.
I just like to think SOMEONE heard me.

My goodies I got...$64 for all of this stuff...makes my heart happy!
Everything was 50% off..gotta love that.
The Ford bucket is for my "Ford" loving son for his new bedroom and desk.
Mirror is for my foyer, whale paper weight for Alexa's room, lantern not sure yet and burlap ribbon for my project pics.

Those of you that have followed me over at my other crafty blog ScrapBitz over the years KNOW
I'm a total freak about Christmas.
I put up 12 trees...two of them real...two of them over 10 ft tall.
I.LOVE.CHRISTMAS.
and that's no lie folks.

So the many aisles of sparkly, pretty, snowy, jewel colored, santa loving things
made this girl's HEART SING!!
I wanted to twirl around like Julie Andrews in the "Sound of Music"
but instead sing
Jingle Bells or Holly Jolly Christmas.
I'm weird like that...sorry..no not sorry :)

And then there was this.
A whole end cap of Coca Cola beauties.
It was a sign.
<literally a sign bwahahaha)
A sign for Suzanne that I was MEANT to be there.
They even had lil knobs that were Coke bottle tops.
OMG!
I didn't get any..but I now know where they live.

And an aisle full of glassware...to be painted...labeled..filled.
For a glassware freak like myself it made me
GIDDY.
Alexa was following along in case I fainted
from all the FA-BU-LOUSNESS!

And God love them...they even dressed a Christmas tree for FALL!
Yup I'm getting ideas...Christmas trees ALL YEAR LONG!!
<hubby just shuddered...pah>

Fall Y'all..yup aisles of it.
Thank goodness I only had 25 minutes to spend.
Boys had to be picked up at football practice,
the nerve of them right?

But I will be back
Hobby Lobby
I will be back
<muwahahahahaha>

  1. I also love Hobby Lobby. Glad you finally got one. I don't have any of the other craft store, no LSS all I have is HL. Sometimes I dream of Michaels or a scrapbook store with all the extras.

  5. Good grief girl why didn't you just go to the one in Winchester? I too love that place. Can't wait to see the one in Leesburg - I heard it's much smaller but nice that it's closer!

  6. OH Suzanne...I can see you now skipping happily down those aisles! I loved the bottle aisle since my new addiction to chalk paint (thanks to you lol)! I have seen several bottles that were painted with chalk paint and then embellished so can't wait to try that out! We don't have a Hobby Lobby here but I do have a Michael's a couple of miles away...I just haven't visited in for a couple of years but may have to now since you have perked up my interest again!

  10. I just had my first visit to Hobby Lobby on Saturday. I know exactly how you felt. My friend posted to our Scrappy Group about your post after I gushed about my first visit. I bought all scrappy goodies. Very good sales and spent $26.00
