I Want...You Want??

Oh the Decisions.....

So today we've left at 6 am to make sure we are down in Columbia, SC before 4 pm.  Alexa has to take her foreign language placement test at University of SC at 4:30 that day.  Then the next 2 days are orientation and registration for classes.  She actually has to spend the night in the dorm one night with fellow students (hehehe) and James and I have our own schedule of events to do as well.  Then Saturday we head down to Orlando thru the 24th for the REAL vacation at Disney...Mickey has missed me y'all ;)  Gonna get my lil Olaf and I will be posting him all over the place on Facebook and Instagram...stay tuned.

OK SO I NEED HELP...well I need lots of help most days..but truly I do....

Feelin' Blue?

I've Got the Blues!

I'm in a blue mood folks...but no worries its not the bad kinda blues right now :)  I'm talking fresh blues, nautical blues, and soothing blues.  I can't get enough of the gorgeous blue patterns in fashion right now...I am loving the florals and stripes I'm seeing everywhere.  So crisp and gorgeous paired with anything from jeans, white pants, to skirts and shorts. I'm obsessed friends...it could be a problem ahahaha!  So just sharing a few things I have added to my wardrobe and some things I'm just drooling over with you.  Lemme know if you drooled, shopped or pursued too...ya know like a shopping buddy that always makes you feel a bit better!

Yes, I did get this light sweater from Gap...and the other one too! One thing I was lacking in was 

some lightweight sweaters for Spring so I indulged myself a wee bit. I'm always chilled & when I'm not well I'm even more chilly so I am anticipating a need this spring...hence the picking up of light sweaters lately. (I used 30% off coupon for Gap too)

I got this cute anchor sweater at Old Navy on sale for $12...I like wearing it with a chambray shirt underneath and tails hanging out.  The background of sweater is a darker cream, not sure why it shows up pink in pic.

I got this chambray shirt last year and I see Nordstroms still has it and it is on sale now...bonus!

It is soooo super comfy and such a worn/soft material and just long enough to leave the tails out from under your sweaters too!

Also this blouse from Old Navy....loved the beautiful blue pattern!

And I would love this skirt and these shoes too from Loft..waiting for them to go on sale though...I'm a sale watcher and then I put it in my cart and wait a few days to see if I really, really have to have it :)

And I may or may not be drooling over this Michael Kors bag...navy, white and brown...ummm LOVE! And its on sale right now....so need to not visit it...it is in my cart...should I push "checkout" or not...hmmmm LOL! I love a classic bag because if you take care of it you can pull it out over & over again and use it for years.

And how gorgeous is this bedding from Pottery Barn...OMGosh I love every bit of it!

Makes me want to redo my guest bedroom ASAP...that's gonna have to wait but a girl can dream right?
For now because I will be spending a fair amount of time in bed...ugh...I have bought a new fluffy down comforter to replace the old. Some new pillows because I like to sink into them.  A set of high-thread count sheets and a super fluffy, fuzzy blanket.  Now my bed is ready for me!

Adding Radiant Orchid To Your Life!

Happy Saturday Everyone!

Hi all!  How have you been dealing with this polar vortex that has affected most of the country? I think we are still frozen from it all...brrrrr...nasty weather.  We had a frozen pipe break in our laundry room that flooded the laundry, part of the kitchen and the guest bedroom below.  Its been a helluva week I can tell you that. We had major cleanup and now are looking forward to drywalling, painting and new carpet because of this mess.  And I pulled muscles in my arm and chest when I flung the huge mattress and box springs across the room to save it from the downpour out of the ceiling. It was a $2000 purchase and there was no way I was letting it get ruined...and in the mess I hurt myself oy vey.  So needless to say we have lots of work to do.  And to all those out there dealing with these issues due to the weather I feel for you too.

I will have a new project posted for Valentines this week that I think you will like and a tutorial too :) So stay tuned for that!

So this year's color is Radiant Orchid...a great jewel tone color that looks good on everyone!

Do you have plans to add some of this color to your wardrobe, makeup or home decor?

I don't have any place for this color in my home but definitely outside in my gardens this spring, it will be blooming with flowers of this color.

These were my hydrangeas this summer..so beautiful and who knew they were so on trend LOL!

I love this faux wrap shirt from Nordstroms..its longer in the back (ya know to cover my bum) and the material is light and airy.

This dress is gorgeous by Halston Heritage...love the assymetrical lines and length of the skirt.

For not a big investment this Guess Westbrook purse fits the bill...beautiful and a good size.

And for a larger purchase you could go with Marc Jacob's "Too Hot To Handle" bag.

I love these shoes by Rachel Roy at Zappos..they have a darker pink on the back side and then a shot of radiant orchid snakeskin on the front. LOVE! Although out of my price range for flats but I will look for something similar on my shoe-outings.

If you are looking to add a pop of Radiant Orchid to your decor choose something that can be used as an accent. Unless you want to dive in and use the color on large pieces, adding smaller accent pieces will do the trick as well.  This beautiful throw by Donna Karan Home would look lovely thrown on a chair or bed.

This  pillow from Etsy is GORGEOUS and just so lovely..makes me wish for spring!!

It sure looks pretty but this much of it in my decor would NOT go over well in my house. My "guys" would not be diggin' it, but if you can get away with it, it sure is lovely. I'm known to get bored easily so if I chose larger and more expensive decor items in this color I'm afraid I'd be stuck in a rut for awhile.
